I Wanted to give you the skinny that Image is up and running on the Free Shard In Por Ylem for Ultima Online. We Currently have 8 active members playing UO who are working hard to represent IMAGE the best we can. The server has only been up for 2.5 weeks and we already have our guild house and 2 hide outs placed around the world. It is interesting times in the lands of Britannia and if you have never step foot on its soil or have been on vacation for many years now is the time to return! Do not be left behind if your interested post in the forums or contact Smithy in mumble!
Currently, it seems we are in a state of unrest within the MMO business. Nobody can seem to decide on what makes an MMO good anymore, and what features we need in order for players to get the most enjoyment out of the game. We are faced with new renditions of popular MMO’s that claim they build off of tried and true features, and at the same time establish never before seen content. Most of these claims, however, are nothing but false promises that companies are hoping they can use to market their game.
The video game industry we are faced with today doesn’t seem to know how to proceed to the next step in user experience in terms of MMO game development. Yes there are new games coming out that do in fact exhibit features that do not follow popular MMO mechanics, such as Darkfall Online and Mortal Online. However, these games seem to lack the quality or finesse that the popular MMO’s hold, and thus they do not become popular. Because of this, we have yet to see a significant improvement in games for the MMO genre, and players are left in a realm of distress where they are forced to choose the lesser of two evils instead of playing what they truly want.
The industry will not change it’s trend, however, until the players themselves choose to push this change. As can be seen with quick analysis of the industry, money is what drives the large companies, and large companies are the ones who make MMO games. So, as a request to all gamers that want to see a change or at least an improvement in the industry, I ask that you invest your money in a product that you believe will benefit the industry as a whole, and not just put money in the hands of big business to get a rehash of the same game over and over.
We’re all sitting around playing BFBC2 after a brief stint iat trying to play WAR again waiting for the next good mmo to come out. Star Wars: The old Republic – Please live up to yourself.

The servers still pretty crashy, and some pretty annoying loot/inventory/bank bugs kept day two progress to a minimum. The biggest news of the day was the absurd increase in skill book prices – so everyone who didn’t buy on day 1 is SOL.
But it seems to be all coming together for IMAGE. Crafters have been leveling, skills have been going up all around, and a new lush farm spot has been discovered and moved in on. Gold is no longer an issue.
Depending on server stability on day 3 IMAGE is poised to be ahead of everyone in armor/weapons/houses – Most of day 2 was spent gathering rocks – and lots of them. With depleatable nodes still not in now is the time to take advantage and stockpile.
With over 500k stone tomorrow looks pretty sweet for our refiners and weapons and armor crafters.
What you need
- 7 egg yolks
- 2.5, 3 cups of milk
- 4, 5 whole cloves
- About a tablespoon of ground cinnamon
- 2ish splashes of vanilla extract little more is good
- 5ish dashes of nutmeg
- 1.5ish cups of sugar
- Half a half carton of Half and Half
- Half a half carton of heavy whipping cream
Directions:
Put the milk, cloves, cinnamon, and 1 splash of vanilla on low heat and bring to a boil very slowly
Whilst that is going on take the yolks and the sugar and whisk together really good.
Once your milk boils – take it off the heat until it stops boiling, and add very slowly to your yolk/sugar combo – this will cook your yolks but not get hard and gross
let that sit out and cool for about an hour – then add your half-n-half, nutmeg and the second splash of vanilla and whisk it around really good – Also take out the cloves, they should be floating on the top
Put that in your fridge until it’s cold – couple hours/overnight whatever.
When it’s cold dump in your heavy whipping cream and mix it around a whole lot
Enjoy as is or add a light rum like Bicardi Superior or some other clear rum

What to do with 7 eggwhites?
Asmo’s Super Secret Chocolate Moose:
What you need:
- 1/3rd cup strong coffee
- little more than about 1/2 a bag of your favorite chocolate chips
- 8 Egg whites
- 1 egg yolk
Directions
Over low heat melt chocolate with the coffee and add the yolk and mix around until smooth
With elecrtic mixer take your 8 whites and beat until you have stiff peaks
GENTLY fold 1/2 of the whites into the chocolate
VERY SLOWLY add this new mix and GENTLY fold into other whites
Pour directly into serving dishes (I like small wine glasses) and chill
Serve as soon as it’s cold – If you want to store for 4+hours put plastic wrap directly on the stuff, elsewise it kind of gets runny and gross… I think you can freeze it too, but I never have any left to try.
As the daylight hours grow shorter and shorter HoN has become the game of choice for most of IMAGE as the wait for Mortal looms in the distance. On the 19th, however, things may change as the next installment of MO’s MassiveLOD patch goes live.
The notes or not out yet – but our sources that are the next best thing to fact (rumor and hear-say) claim it’s a big one.
More magic – more PvE – Riding – More cities to be explored – guild system complete with player housing – just to name a few.

The size of the first continent (Myrland) is approximately 64km² (about the same as Manhattan), not counting dungeons. Of course the traversable area is somewhat smaller because of mountains, water etc.
64km² = 8km*8km = (8km)²
It is not 64km*64km, (64km)² or 8km²*8km²
To illustrate: if 10 000 players were to be on the continent at the same time, that’s an average of 6400m² per player. If everyone were standing in a square grid pattern, that means you’d be 80m from your four closest neighbours.

Making one football field = 91.44 meters.
So, almost that far from everyone if 10,000 people were on all at the same time in a grid..
